Felting for Families Make a treasure vessel or ball using wool from sheep on a farm in Naples, New York. After the wool is shorn it is carded and hand spun, then organic dyed in many beautiful colors. Learn about different techniques to create felted objects, beads, sculptures, and accessories in this fun class. All materials are provided by the instructor. Cost is for 1 adult and 1 child. Hooked On Hooking This 3 session hands on workshop teaches you all the basics: tools, techniques, and tips you need to complete a hooked rug project. Knit Felt Fun Learn the basics of knitting that you can use on any project with confidence, while creating a fun purse. Felted accessories are all the rage, and felting means we can focus on fun versus perfection. Wagashi Hand Multiple Part Class: Crafted and hand stitched art from Japan. In this two session class, you will hand stitch and embellish a beautiful pouch to store jewelry, make-up, pencils and more. Inspired by Japanese fiber artists, this project uses scraps of colorful fabric, ribbon, and beads to create a small and detailed work of art you will be proud to give as a gift.....if you can part with it! Even if you have never sewn before, you will learn easy sewing techniques you can use in other projects. In session 1 student receive an introduction to Wagashi projects and learn how to cut out and assemble different fabric components of the pouch. In session 2, students embellish their pouches using beads and decorative stitches. A supply list is sent upon registration. Additional supplies are available from the instructor.
