Hot Glass! Curious about hot glass? This intro class offers an opportunity to explore an ancient art form using modern techniques. Learn how to work safely in a glass studio, watch demonstrations of flameworked glass, then try it yourself. Students get 1.5 hours of hands on torch time to create their own beads or simple sculptures. Beads are kiln annealed and may be picked up the following day. Class fee includes materials. Intermediate Fusing Multiple part class: Fusion Next Step series is for those who want to make functional or artistic fused glass such as plates, slumped bowls, and decorative panels. Using a wide variety of materials such as sheet glass, stringers, frit, dichroic and iridized glass, students learn how to cut, grind and polish glass, prepare and make molds, fuse and slump projects. This is a two session workshop for glass artists interested in creating larger objects. For fused dichroic pendants and charms, see: Fusion or Fusion for Families.
