WagashiHand Multiple Part Class: Crafted and hand stitched art from Japan. In this two session class, you will hand stitch and embellish a beautiful pouch to store jewelry, make-up, pencils and more. Inspired by Japanese fiber artists, this project uses scraps of colorful fabric, ribbon, and beads to create a small and detailed work of art you will be proud to give as a gift.....if you can part with it! Even if you have never sewn before, you will learn easy sewing techniques you can use in other projects. In session 1 student receive an introduction to Wagashi projects and learn how to cut out and assemble different fabric components of the pouch. In session 2, students embellish their pouches using beads and decorative stitches. A supply list is sent upon registration.
