Legal Issues for Artists
| Description | When you create a piece of artwork, you may automatically have intellectual property rights to certain design elements. Local attorney and jeweler, Sarah Feingold, will provide you with helpful information concerning the types intellectual property protection available to artists, how to obtain this protection and the rights you should take advantage of even if you choose to take no formal action to protect your intellectual property. Additionally, attendees will receive helpful forms and information including a form forobtaining copyright registration for a group of artwork for as little as $45. The seminar is around an hour and a half long. A PowerPoint presentation will be used to illustrate the topics. Each attendee will receive a copy of the presentation to take notes on, copyright registration forms and other helpful information.
