As seen on the cover of Belle Armoire Jewelry, Sept. 2007! Make a totally unique pendant and or pin using a variety of metal smith techniques. Then collage with hand made papers and 3 dimensional objects from your collection. Finish off into a combination pin /pendant , choker, or pendant. First session: Melasmithing, including sawing and filing, wrapping, adhesion, and varnish. Second session: Assemblage of found objects, adhesion and making neck pieces. Instructions for students: bring a cookie sheet lined with white copy paper. E6000 glue( available from the instructor), gloves for cutting metal. Bring any personal found objects that you want to incorporate in your piece for example, broken jewelry, coins, vacation mementos, special keys, watch parts, etc.
